Years ago my young son was chasing the dog through the house, dove sideways into our crappy Sofa Express couch and broke off one of its cheap plastic legs. Since then it’s been propped up on blocks of wood I found in our garage. I had no idea that I could buy replacement legs to fix it until one day I was complaining about our broken couch to my son (who is now an adult). He did a quick search and discovered these replacement legs on Amazon. I immediately ordered them and they arrived the next day. They screwed into the same holes as the original legs easy-peasy, and are much sturdier. After years of frustration, $20 and five minutes later, the problem is solved! These chair legs seem to be of good, study quality and I loved that they were available in the lighter color I wanted. HOWEVER, I'm disappointed that they're not all the same color! It looks a little odd on the chair when the furniture legs are visible and slightly different colors. I'm going for classy here, not quirky.Great quality but I need ones without screwsAfter I painted the inside of my house last year, I decided I needed a new couch. I only had a loveseat which was part of a set I bought 14 years ago. Though I got rid of the couch a few years ago, I waited to get a new one. It took me the better part of 18 months to find the right color, fabric, firmness, and most importantly - COST - of a couch. When I FINALLY found it, I got it. However, I knew the standard height of the legs (3 inches) was not going to work. After over two decades of military service, my knees are not what they used to be. SO ... another search ensued to find replacement legs. After reviewing a plethora of youtube videos and searching other stores in my area, I figured I was going to pay an arm and a leg (no pun intended) for new legs. I wanted to be able to return the legs, in the event they didn't work. Well, I decided to come to Amazon JUST TO SEE what was available. These seem to fit the bill, though I was a little skeptical because of the price.First, the price for all four legs was equal to ONE leg when I was searching local. THAT was a HUGE plus. But as I said, it made me skeptical. In addition to the legs I bought a furniture leg repair kit in the event I needed more support. The legs are AMAZINGLY STRONG. The only thing I changes was the hanger bolt to fit the fitting. Rather than screwing the leg into the wood it is screwed into fitting.I really like the color of the legs. Some of the reviews didnt like the color and found sanding the clear-coating off was either a good or bad choice, depending on their personal results. I did not find I needed to change the color. However, I did recommend these legs to a friend. She chose to change the color by sanding the legs, then spray-painting them; using a primer FIRST and following the color with a clear coat. She said she loved the results. (She did paint them a garnet red, so spray-painting was her option.)The legs arrived on time and nicely packed with a one-year warranty on the legs. I REALLY liked that, though I dont know if the warranty will count since I changed the hangar bolts out to fit the plate. However, that was my choice so I must accept that. All in all, the legs were a great purchase. Incidentally, my new couch with everything (delivery, hauling packaging, the legs and repair kit) was less than $400 - and the couch is an Ashley couch. LOVE the investment.Easy to install worked like a charm. The product was good for the price, but as is common in mass produced products, the durability isn't as good as a traditional wood joinery.I initially got different screws to attach but they have also since worn down so know it's a temporary fix.I will be inserting matchsticks and gorilla glue two-part epoxy to fix the instability caused by the screw hole. This will hopefully help.If you decide to buy, just know that the screw holes are likely to be weakened easily and you might want to start out by reinforcing then with the above methods before attaching them so you don't have to worry about wear so quickly.I added the 15 inch legs to an IKEA Besta cabinet for a nightstand. The angled top plate (used to attach the leg into the cabinet) is not included so I ordered those separately. The legs feel sturdy so far. (The white piece hanging from the bottom of the cabinet is a head set holder I added separately)I wanted to make this Ikea book shelf look more high-end and not college dorm. Love how it turned out!I bought these for this recliner sofa that had the annoying problem where the supplied 15cm legs were too short to allow proper clearance for the recliner mechanism when folding/unfolding. These 20cm ones look quite similar and now allow for the necessary clearance which will hopefully save the floor from further scrapes!Perfect to raise a cupboard16 inch legs on angled plates. Had to use my own sturdier screws to mount the plates as the ones that came with were short and flimsy. Almost immediately was wobbly and began to collapse upon installation to support a small kallax shelf, hanger bolt came out of wooden leg and became stuck in the plate upon trying to unscrew. I think my only bet to even partially salvage these will be replacing the hanger bolts with much longer ones and installing with the straight plates instead of the angled. I would not recommend these legs unless you enjoy frustration. The wood is decent but everything else not so much.I am 34 weeks pregnant and as I sat down to read my daughter her book today the legs tilted completely. Upon inspecting the screw is just turning free under the chair. Return window is closed but I will definitely be taking this up with amazon as this would have caused serious injury to myself and the baby if I did not get off fast enough from the chair and fell. Do not buy for your own sake.Added these legs to a dresser I recently refinished. Great colour, though they do vary in tone a small bit. The grain is a bit different from leg to leg, but they looked great once on the piece and all together. Very sturdy and hardware, that is included, is top notch.
